How to recruit for this role?
To recruit for the HW Engineer Infotainment-System-Measurements role, focus on candidates with strong automotive experience and proven expertise in high-frequency hardware measurements (up to 12 GHz or higher), especially using oscilloscopes. Prioritize those with hands-on knowledge of infotainment interfaces (PCIe, USB, CAN, Ethernet, etc.), PCB experience with Renesas, Infinion, Qualcomm, or Nvidia controllers, and proficiency in Siemens tools (TeamCenter, ALM/DNG, Xpedition). Ensure they have solid skills in power integrity, schematic design, and variant management, as well as familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Excel, and basic shell programming.
What's IMPORTANT for this job?
Notes from the client:
Most important for this project:
- operate measurements with an oscilloscope
- basic understanding of high frequency physics (experience with oscilloscope measurements from 500 MHz up to 8 GHz)
- read datasheets and evaluate if the systems function according to datasheet
- experience with some schematics tool like Expedition from Siemens, or even Altium is ok
- experience with reading requirements (tool: DOORS)
- write documentation (tool: ALM or similar)
- the project is automotive infotainment. Previous experience in automotive NOT needed (can be consumer, medtech)
Hybrid: 2/5 days on average must be in the lab in Bucharest
Hourly rate: 40 EUR non-negotiable
Client and Project information (can be shared confidentially)
Position is defined on-site in Bucharest. The consultants will need access to the phyiscal lab/hardware.
But we have one consultant in the same project, he can work from home 3/5 days. Thus we can sell this position as "hybrid" to the candidates.
